USGA announces 2019 U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying sites

The USGA has announced sectional qualifying sites for the 119th U.S. Open Championship, which will be held at Pebble Beach (Calif.) Golf Links on June 13-16, 2019. Pebble Beach is hosting its sixth U.S. Open and 12th USGA championship.

Twelve sectional qualifiers, will consist of 36 holes, will be conducted in seven states plus England, Japan and – for the first time – Canada.

Asia – Kuwana Country Club, Mie Prefecture, Japan

Monday, June 3

Canada – RattleSnake Point Golf Club (Copperhead and Sidewinder Courses), Milton, Ontario
Europe - Walton Heath Golf Club (New and Old Courses), Surrey, England


Monday, May 20

Bent Tree Country Club & Northwood Club, Dallas, Texas

Monday, June 3

Big Canyon Country Club & Newport Beach Country Club, Newport Beach, Calif.

The U.S. Open is the biggest of the 14 national championships conducted by the USGA. Open to amateurs and professionals.

The USGA intends to make the U.S. Open the most rigorous, yet fair, examination of golf skills, testing all forms of shot-making. The USGA prepares the course after careful consideration of 14 different factors.
