Quarterfinals set at San Francisco City Women's Championship

The quarterfinals and semifinals will be held Saturday before the 36-hole championship match is contested on Sunday
Iqbal took control of the match early with victories on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th holes to open a 3 up lead that she never relinquished.
She will now face nine-seed Sammy Lee who advanced with a 20 hole triumph over No. 8 Gia Feliciano in the Round of 16.
Outside of Iqbal not one of the higher seeds advanced. The upsets even included 15-seed Kiran Sangha besting No. 2 Carissa Wu 3&1. With the match all-square through 12 holes, Sangha won the 13th, 14th and 17th holes to advance.
No. 13 Jasmine Chen defeated No. 4 Angela Bagasbas 5&3 No. 12 Annie Liu defeated No. 5 Kaleiya Romero 2&1 No. 10 Aishvarya Bedi defeated No. Aman Sangha 2 up No. 14 Ashley Shim defeated No. 3 Jacqueline Lucena 5&4 No. 11 Madelyn Gamble defeated No. 6 Catherine Batang 5&4
The San Francisco City Championship continues on Saturday with the quarterfinals and semifinals. The 36-hole championship match will follow on Sunday.
