NEW LENOX, IL (May 21, 2017) - It took a playoff but in the end Chadd Slutzky was able to capture the I-80 Amateur on Sunday. Beginning the final round at Sanctuary Golf Course six shots off the pace, Slutzky closed with a 66 to pull even with first round leader Grant Milling.
Milling took his lead with a first day 66 and then followed it up with a 72. For Slutzky it was the complete opposite with tallies of 72-66.
Evan Berna (72-70--142) was third while Cully Johnston (72-72--144), James Vellane (71-73--144) and Kevin Paek (67-77--144) shared fourth.
