HILTON HEAD, SC (April 14, 2017) - On Friday Cheng Jin carded his second consecutive 7-over 78 to finish the first two rounds of the RBC Heritage 14-over.
During the second round at Harbour Town Golf Links, Jin carded his lone birdie on the 5th hole, his 14th of day.
The appearance this week for the USC freshman was his first on the PGA Tour since the 2016 Masters. Jin earned his spot in the field this week by winning the Players Amateur last July.

On Thursday afternoon USC freshman Cheng Jin shot a first round 7-over 78 at the RBC Heritage hosted by Harbour Town Golf Links.
Playing in his first PGA Tour event since the 2016 Masters, Jin started his round with four consecutive birdies and carded his only birdie of the day on the par-4 8th hole.
This week Jin is playing alongside Tommy Gainey and Sam Saunder and he will begin his second round at 8:50 a.m. on the 10th hole.
