ABOUT THE Duncan Putter
The Duncan Putter is the first of the Welsh
Order of Merit events and gives
International and Walker Cup selectors a
chance to assess early season form. The
format is 72 holes of stroke play played over three
days.
Competitors come from Wales, the UK and
increasingly from Europe, too.
Recent winners include:
* Gary Wolstenholme - England’s most
capped international
* Nigel Edwards - Welsh Walker Cup
player
* Bjorn Akesson – from Sweden: at 17 the
youngest ever winner
