RANCHO MIRAGE, CA (March 29, 2017) -- Professional major championship golf gets underway on Thursday with the playing of the ANA Inspiration at Mission Hills Country Club and there will be six amateurs in the field.

The final amateur spot in the field this week went to Lucy Li who qualified over the weekend in the ANA Junior Inspiration. Li beat out 39 other junior golfers to earn her spot in the field at Mission Hills Country Club.

For Li, who played in the 2014 U.S. Women's Open at Pinehurst No. 2, this will be her second career start in a major tournament.
