Wyndham Clark, Fredrik Nilehn top Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings

(February 9, 2017) -- Ahead of June's Arnold Palmer Cup the first of three rankings have been released. Currently leading the way for Team USA are Oregon senior Wyndham Clark and Texas Tech junior Fredrik Nilehn of Sweden for Team Europe.

The next round of rankings will be released on February 23rd prior to the final rankings being announced on March 9th. The final rankings will be released one week before the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational when the teams are set to be announced.

Each roster will include the top-six players in the rankings as of March 16 with the last four spots of the US team being filled by three committee picks and a coaches pick. Team Europe will fill out their roster with two committee picks, a coaches pick while the final spot is awarded to the winner of April's R&A Foundation Scholars Tournament.

ABOUT THE Palmer Cup

The annual Ryder Cup-style competition features top men and women collegiate players from the United States against their International counterparts.

Each team will be comprised of 12 men's and 12 women's golfers. Day one will feature Mixed Four-Ball competition, day two will see Mixed Foursomes in the morning and Four-Ball in the afternoon, with 24 singles matches on the final day.
