De Guzman finished 5-under while Karen Chung ended up 4-under

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (December 4, 2016) -- A pair of amateurs, Regan De Guzman and Karen Chung finished inside the top-20 at the final stage of LPGA Qualifying School and earned their LPGA full card.

Regan De Guzman was the highest finishing amateur at the LPGA International Golf Course sharing 14th at 5-under. The former San Jose State golfer closed with an even-par 72 to finish just inside the top-20 cutline. On the day De Guzman rolled in birdies on the 7th and 15th holes while double-bogeying the 13th.

Chung, a senior at USC, finished tied for 19th at 4- under with a even-par 72 round of her own. The former All-American's round was a bit more up and down than De Guzman's as she birdied five times and bogeyed five times. Her birdies came on the 2nd, 9th, 13th, 15th and 16th holes.

By finishing inside the top-20 Chung now has to decide whether or not she will declare for the professional ranks or return for USC for the second half of her senior year. The Trojans are currently second- ranked team in the country according to Golfstat.

The decision will be much easier for De Guzman with her college career already complete.
