Warren Pepper won the Super Senior title while Mo York captured the Super-Super Senior titile

CHARLESTON, SC (November 13, 2016) -- Tadd Brown emerged from a two-way tie at the start of the day to win the Charleston City Senior at Charleston Municipal Golf Course. Brown put together scores of 74-73-73 to finish at 220 and one-stroke in front of a pair of others. The second place duo at 221 included Brian Phillips (75-74-72) and defending champion Bert Atkinson (75-73-73). 36-hole co-leader Mike Pine (73-74-76--223) ended up fourth as Mike Bauer (72-76-77--225) placed fifth. In the Super Senior tournament it was Warren Pepper (71-69-71--211) completing a wire-to-wire run while Mo York (72-69-71--212) won the Super-Super Senior flight. ROUND TWO RECAP Tadd Brown and Mark Pine are tied at 147 and they will carry a slim lead into the Charleston City Senior Amateur at Charleston Municipal Golf Course. Brown has combined rounds of 74-73 to reach the top of the leaderboard while it has been tallies of 73-74 for Pine. One shot back in a tie for third it is first round leader Mike Bauer (72-76--148) and defending champion Bert Atkinson (75-73--148). Brian Phillips (75-74--149) and first round co-leader Mike Harrison (72-77--149) will begin the final round tied for fifth. In the Super Senior Division Warren Pepper has opened up a four-stroke lead. Pepper has posted a pair of under-par rounds, 71-69--140. Four players begin the final 18-holes four-strokes behind in second place. The group includes Bill Blankenbaker (77-67--144), Ricky Bailey (74-70--144), Billy Wise (73-71--144) and Nick Avery (72-72-144). Mo York is pacing the Super Senior Division following scores of 72-69 to post 141 and lead by five over Dean Howard (75-71--146). ROUND ONE RECAP Mike Bauer and Mike Harrison each shot first round 72's and they are tied atop the Charleston City Senior Amateur leaderboard with two days still to play. The pair will carry a one-stroke lead into Saturday's second round at Charleston Municipal Golf Course. Bauer used sides of 36-36 while for Harrison it was halves of 35-37. Mark Pine (36-37--73) is currently third while Tadd Brown (38-36--74) and Mark Havenstein (40-44--74) share fourth. Defending champion Bert Atkinson (37-38--75) is currently tied for sixth with five others and three off the pace. In the Super Senior Division it is Warren Pepper (36-35--71) leading the way by a shot. Three players are tied for second including defending champion Nick Avery (37-35--72). The trio also includes Phillip Farley (36-36-72) and Mike Mazza (37-35--72).
About the Charleston City Senior

Open to seniors who have resided in Charleston County, Dorchester County, or Berkeley County, South Carolina for at least one year. Senior (ages 50-59), Super Senior (60-69), and Super Super Senior (70+) divisions, flighted after 36 holes.
