Team Austin won 11 of a possible 14 points to open up a commanding 11-3 lead following the first day of play at the I-35 Rudy's Cup. Team San Antonio will attempt to put together a rally of unimaginable proportions during the Sunday singles matches at the Hyatt Wolfdancer Golf Club.

In the morning Four-Balls Team San Antonio won the first two matches before Team Austin found their grove claiming the next five.

It was more the same during the afternoon foursomes with Team Austin capturing four matches outright and only dropping one while two matches were halved.
