PAC-12

No. 1 Cal (338-357- 361-350 – 1406, +6) tied the unofficial all-time NCAA win record and defended its conference title Wednesday at the Pac-12 Championship played at the par-70, 7,236-yard North Course at Los Angeles Country Club. Southern California native Max Homa (61-70-71-69 – 271, -9) led the effort by becoming the third player in Cal history to win conference individual medalist honors.

Cal’s victory gives the Golden Bears 10 wins in 12 tournaments in 2012-13 to equal the 10 events won by the 1985-86 Oklahoma State squad. Cal has won 16 of its last 26 tournaments overall dating back to the beginning of the 2011-12 campaign and finished in the top five in all 26. CLICK FOR MORE »

WESTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

New Mexico State won its sixth WAC title at the WAC Men's Golf Championship at Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, Nev. The Aggies carded a three-round total of 887 to win by six strokes over UT Arlington.

UT Arlington senior Paul McConnell won the individual title. McConnell shot a 3-under par 69 in the final round to card a 2-over 218 for the three rounds. New Mexico State freshman Kenneth Fadke placed second (220), while San Jose State's Landon Polterock and New Mexico State's Justin Shin tied for third with a three- day total of 221. BIG EAST

USF tallied 12 birdies on the back nine to win the 2013 BIG EAST Men’s Golf Championship at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla. The Bulls finished six under par with a score of 858 (290-287-281). USF won the BIG EAST men’s golf championship for the first time in program history.

Chase Koepka led USF, finishing in second place with a score of 209 (70-70-69). Richard James had six birdies in the final round to record a score of 68. Koepka and Devin Hernandez finished three under par (69) and James finished four under par in the final round. CLICK FOR MORE »

ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE

Duke won the ACC Championship over Virginia Tech and Florida State at the Old North State Club in New London, N.C., on April 28. Duke shot 25-under 839 to win by three shots.

Finishing in fourth was Georgia Tech at 13- under 851 and in fifth was Clemson at 5-under 859. CLICK FOR MORE »

BIG TEN

llinois won its fifth consecutive Big Ten Conference Championship on April 28 at French Lick (Ind.) Resort. Illinois shot 11-over 1,163 at the 72-hole championship. The team's 285 total in the third round was tied for the low team score of the tournament.

In second was Minnesota nine shots back of Illinois at 20 over. Iowa was another 14 shots back in third place. » CLICK FOR MORE »

BIG 12

No. 3 Texas won the Big 12 Championship Wednesday at Prairie Dunes Golf Club in Hutchinson, Kan. This was the Longhorns’ fourth Big 12 Championship and first since 2004. Texas has claimed 43 conference championships since 1927. Texas finished at 19-over 859 (290-281-288), four shots ahead of No. 12 Oklahoma State, which shot a final-round 286.

The Big 12 Championship, for The University of Texas and our athletic department, is a very big deal," Texas head coach John Fields said. "We don’t take it lightly. Maybe we’ve been guilty a couple of times of putting too much pressure on ourselves, but I thought the guys did a great job today and I’m thrilled for them and our program." CLICK FOR SCORES »

WEST COAST CONFERENCE

St. Mary's, No. 23 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, successfully defended its West Coast Conference title Wednesday. The Gaels shot a final-round 292 to finish at 8-over 872, two shots better than No. 61 San Francisco, which also shot 292 Wednesday. San Diego sophomore Grant Forrest won the individual title with a 6-under 210 total (74-67-69) to finish four shots ahead of Gonzaga's James Fahy, who shot a final-round 68. Forrest, of North Berwick, Scotland, is No. 115 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings. Forrest, last year's West Coast Conference freshman of the year, started the final round with a one-shot lead over St. Mary's Mac McClung and BYU's Joe Parkinson. Forrest's final- round 69 was the second-best round of the day, though. He made just five pars in his final round, making eight birdies and five bogeys. It was the first win of Forrest's career. He finished fourth at last year's conference championship. San Diego (291), BYU (294) and Gonzaga (288) tied for third at 16-over 880, eight shots behind St. Mary's.

SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE

Alabama won its second consecutive SEC Championship with a final-round 290. The Crimson Tide finished at 8-over 848, two shots better than South Carolina. Arkansas’ Sebastian Cappelen, No. 45 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, won medalist honors with an 8-under 202 total. CLICK HERE FOR MORE »

CONFERENCE USA

Houston, No. 26 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, shot 3-over 291 Tuesday at Texarkana (Ark.) Country Club to win its first Conference USA title since 2001.

The Cougars finished at 7-under 857 (286- 280- 291), three shots better than No. 20 SMU. The two teams were tied after 36 holes, but SMU shot 294 in the final round. UCF, No. 53 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, finished third at 1 under after shooting a final-round 287. CLICK FOR RESULTS »

SOUTHERN CONFERENCE

No. 50 Chattanooga barely held off Davidson's push for a postseason bid, while U.S. Amateur champion Steven Fox couldn't close out a conference championship of his own.

Chattanooga finished at 20-over 884 after three rounds at Daniel Island's Ralston Creek Course in Daniel Island, S.C., to win the Southern Conference Championship. Davidson, No. 95 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, finished two shots back; the Wildcats likely needed to win the conference title to earn a postseason bid. CLICK FOR RESULTS »

ATLANTIC SUN

No. 18 North Florida won the Atlantic Sun Conference title by 14 shots over No. 77 East Tennessee State. The Ospreys are the first back-to-back A-Sun champions since Jacksonville State in 2002- 03.

The Ospreys held a one-shot lead over Kennesaw State after 36 holes, but shot the low score of the final day (291) in the final round to win easily. East Tennessee State's final-round 292 allowed the Bucs to move into second place as Kennesaw State struggled to a final-round 306. CLICK FOR RESULTS »

BIG SOUTH

No. 48 Coastal Carolina claimed a two-shot victory over 27th-ranked Liberty at the Big South Conference Championship.

The Chanticleers shot 17-over 881 at The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor. It is Coastal Carolina’s first men’s golf title since 2010 and 14th overall and ends Liberty’s two-year championship run. Winthrop finished third at 27 over. Liberty's final-round 295 was one shot better than Coastal Carolina's closing score. The Flames were led by medalist Mathieu Fenasse's final- round 66, but no other Flame could shoot lower than 76 in the final round. CLICK FOR RESULTS »

NCAA WOMENS TOURNAMENT: Duke, Alabama, USC take top seeds

USC, Duke and Alabama will take the No. 1 seeds into their respective regionals as NCAA postseason play begins May 9. They are among the 72 teams that will make up three NCAA Regional fields around the country.

Pac-12 Conference champion USC, the top- ranked team in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, is atop the West Regional field, followed by Arizona, another Pac-12 team. Vanderbilt, Purdue and Stanford round out the top five seeds. Earlier in the year, USC won the Stanford Invitational at Stanford Golf Course, the site of the West Regional. CLICK FOR MORE »
