Florida Senior Amateur Match Play: Woulfe medals
FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 11, 2012) -- In the Senior Division, Rick Woulfe, of Fort Lauderdale, earned medalist honors after posting a one-under par 71 in the seeding round of the Florida Senior Match Play Championship. Woulfe won his first match against Jim Bounds, of Boynton Beach, 5 & 3. The Defending Champion, Lee Booker, of Naples took an early exit on Monday losing to Richard McPhail, of Bonita Springs, 2 & 1. Other past Champions still alive include Pete Andrews, of Lithia, Tom Hyman, of Lakeland, and Berger Warner, of Ocala.
In the Super Senior Division, the number one seed Rollie Walcott, of Naples, was upset by Bill Feehan, of Marco Island, 4 & 3. The Defending Champion, Michael Shiff, of Parkland, advanced to the second round with a win over Bill Starks, of Punta Gorda, 1 up. The 2007 Champion Jim DuBois, of Coral Springs also advanced with a 3 & 1 victory over Michael Benham.

ABOUT THE Florida Senior Match Play
The Senior Championship is for those
individuals
over the age of 55. Two age divisions, 55-64
and
65 and over, will compete with one round of
stroke play qualifying followed by single
elimination match play rounds to determine
winners in each division.
