All grounds and 1895 Club tickets for the final two rounds at The Olympic Club are sold out
Far Hills, N.J. – The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced that all grounds and 1895 Club tickets for the final two rounds (Saturday and Sunday, June 16-17) of the 2012 U.S. Open Championship at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif., are sold out.
“Ticket sales are currently ahead of our projected pace and we fully anticipate that all championship-round tickets will sell out prior to championship week,” said Reg Jones, USGA Senior Director, U.S. Open Championship. “That is not surprising considering past U.S. Open championships at The OIympic Club. The USGA looks forward to staging one of the toughest tests in golf at one of the most historic venues in the game.”
A limited number of $200 Trophy Club tickets remain for Saturday and Sunday, June 16-17. The Trophy Club offers a premium U.S. Open experience for golf fans who don’t want to miss a minute of the action on the course, with big screen televisions throughout the pavilion showing live U.S. Open coverage, comfortable seating and a variety of menu options available for purchase. Menu selections include made-to-order omelets, a golfer’s breakfast served with eggs, bacon or sausage and hash brown potatoes in the morning and seafood entrees, a variety of hot and hand-sliced deli sandwiches, gourmet hot dogs, salads and pizza for lunch as well as full bar service.
Remaining tickets for the first and second championship rounds (Thursday and Friday, June 14-15) are expected to sell quickly.
Practice-round tickets (Monday through Wednesday, June 11-13) are also available. Ticket prices start at $50 for daily practice-round tickets and range up to $370 for 1895 Club tickets on Friday.
Each ticket buyer is permitted to purchase up to four tickets for any available day. Tickets include free public parking and shuttle transportation to and from the parking area at Candlestick Park and the championship entrance.
Cameras are permitted on practice-round days only (June 11-13).
Junior tickets are always available for sale on-site at Will Call and at all admission gates during the championship. Juniors who are age 12 and younger will be admitted free of charge any day when accompanied by a paid adult ticket holder. Tickets for juniors ages 13 to 17 will be available at a reduced rate of $15 for practice rounds and $35 for championship rounds. There is a maximum of two junior tickets per one adult ticket holder. Junior tickets permit Trophy Club access only when accompanied by an adult Trophy Club ticket holder. Junior tickets do not permit 1895 Club access.
Ticket buyers will have the chance to see players such as defending champion Rory McIlroy and past winners Graeme McDowell, Lucas Glover, Tiger Woods, Angel Cabrera, Geoff Ogilvy, Michael Campbell and Retief Goosen, all of whom have entered to play in the championship.
