Bob Lamkin of Lamkin Grips reviews the company's wrap grips
Given the array of grips put forth by Lamkin in recent years, it's easy to get caught up in the new features and high-tech updates. And, as we've noted in recent reviews of the newest models, it's even easier to see why.

Still, there's certainly something to be said about staying true to your roots in the game of golf. And Lamkin, while also gearing some grips towards the future, has stayed true to its roots with its wrap grips for 2012.

The Perma-Wrap series is available in standard and oversized and has been a favorite among serious golfers for more than 15 years.

The seamless, low-profile grip feels and looks like leather but is made from a synthetic rubber compound, which only adds to the tackiness and soft feel. The surface is smooth but has the tackiness to prevent slippage.

The Perma-Wrap Series is a favorite for serious players who like to golf without using a glove.

The Perma-Wrap Classic is a similar grip to the Perma-Wrap but has a distinctive design, including the colored-line circling the length of the grip. It's also available in a stylish and contemporary white.

Like the Perma-Wrap, the Classic model is available in standard and oversized but it's also available in the midsize.
