SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2011) -- The Straight Down Team would like to congratulate all of the Champions from the 2011 Fall Classic.

The pro-scratch tournament celebrated its 15th anniversary on November 12th and 13th at San Luis Obispo Country Club with big names in the field such as Charley Hoffman, Loren Roberts, and Tom Pernice Jr.

Ultimately it was PGA Tour star Brendan Steele who took home the $20,000 prize after amateur partner Greg Wells sank a 15ft. birdie putt on the first hole of a four-way playoff, fending off the teams of PGA Tour player Ricky Barnes, New Castle Country Club Head Professional Ned Weaver, and up-and-coming Nationwide Tour player Gunner Wiebe. Weaver didn’t go home empty handed, however, as he took home the Low Club Pro prize, which added an additional $2,500 to his winnings.

Also joining the group of Champions this year are those from the Friday “Woody” Pro-Am, which went to the team of Larry Mize, Jim Lehman, John Ronca, Gerry Shea, and Don Oberhelman. One hundred percent of proceeds from this Pro-Am go to benefitting ALS research, and for the third year running, Straight Down has been able to raise enough money to keep the Monterey ALS Clinic open, an accomplishment the company is very proud of.
