Greatest Golf Moment
Qualifying for the 2016 US Mid-Am in a playoff; birdie on the first hole of a tournament that both my kids watched me play, which was the last round of a tournament in Dec 2023.
Holes in One
2 holes-in-one • #12, Crown Colony Country Club, Lufkin, TX; final round of the 1997 Hays Memorial Junior Classic; 7 iron from 170. #2, Old Orchard south nine (now closed), PW, 160 yards. Qualifying in college at Rice, spring 1999. We were playing the "bag game," meaning the losing team had to carry the other players bag too on the next hole. Dunked it, requiring my coach to carry my bag on the next hole - which was 600 yards into the wind :)
