Matt Robertson fired a first-round 69 and leads by one shot

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (May 18, 2013) -- Matt Robertson fired a first-round 69 and leads by one shot in the gross flight of the 2013 Signal Mountain Invitational, a Major of Amateur Golf. Roberton leads Riley Davenport by one shot entering Round 2 at Signal Mountain Golf & Country Club. Cody Godfrey and Richard Spangler are two shots back in a tie for third after shooting 71s to open play. A group of eight players looms four shot back of the pace set by Robertson. All told, there are 22 players within six shots of the leader entering the second round.
About the Signal Mountain Invitational

First played in 1937, this is one of the oldest in the state of Tennessee and an annual showcase of the top players in the region. 54-hole stroke play flighted invitational with open and senior (age 55+) flights.
