ASGA Better Ball of Pairs wraps up at Casa de Campo

The ASGA's annual Better Ball of Pairs competition was held at Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore

LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic (Feb. 3, 2013) -- William Brower and Fred Putney of Jupiter, Fla. combined for rounds of 75-71-73--219 to take home the top gross prize at the American Seniors Golf Association's Better Ball of Pairs Championship played at the renowned Casa de Campo. The winners show a first-round 75 at the Teeth of Dog, followed up by a 1-under 71 at Dye Fore. Their final-round 73 back at Teeth of the Dog was enough to secure a three-shot victory over John Clough and Tone Lester (75-75-72--222). Ken Kinsey and Mal Makin (76-76-75--227) were third. In the Net Division, Ron Gotfried and Dan Milligan combined for a 60-67-64--191 total.

54-hole four-ball stroke play event open to American Seniors Golf Association members. There will be men's gross and net divisions along with women's individual stroke play and stableford divisions.
