The end of the 2012 amateurgolf.com Tournament Series season means it's time to congratulate the Players of the Year.

The amateurgolf.com Tournament Series hosted 12 events throughout California and traveled to Bandon, Ore. for the annual amateurgolf.com Bandon Dunes Two-Man Links Championship.

The tournament series began in January with the New Year's Skins Game at Aviara and wrapped up this past weekend with the 2012 Tour Championship held at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club. And, as always, there was stellar play throughout the year.

No one played better than co-Players of the Year Randy Haag (pictured, left) and Alex Franklin. The two combined for four victories in 2012 and represent the amateurgolf.com Tournament Series well. Mark Miller earned Player of the Year honors among Seniors while Scott Carelli edged Bart Goldie for Net Player of the Year.

As we close the book on 2012 and look forward to another strong year of tournament golf in 2013, let's look at the accomplishments of the Players of the Year:

Alex Franklin
Randy Haag, Co-Player of the Year: With another stellar season in 2012, the Burlingame, Calif. resident won a share of his sixth straight Player of the Year award. Haag won the 2012 Diablo Valley Amateur and placed second at the California Mid- Am Master and Senior. He was also active on the national and international levels of mid- am and senior golf. Haag won the Scratch players Mid-Am and tied for third at the Stocker Cup and placed 69th at the British Senior Open.

Alex Franklin, Co- Player of the Year: Franklin, of San Rafael, Calif., became the first amateurgolf.com Tournament Series player to as much as share a piece of the award Haag has held since its inception. Franklin, a junior at College of Marin, won the Silicon Valley Amateur and tied for third at the Christmas Classic.

Mark Miller
In addition to his stellar play on the amateurgolf.com Tournament Series, Franklin also tied for second place at the Ventura City Championship and reached the semifinal round of the San Francisco City Championship.

Mark Miller, Senior Player of the Year: Miller, of Antioch, Calif., had a terrific showing at several amateurgolf.com Tournament Series events and won his second straight and fourth overall Player of the Year award. Miller won twice, taking the Diablo Valley Amateur and the Monterey County Four- Ball. His second-place finish at the Silicon Valley Amateur and tie for third at the Wine Country Cup put him ahead of Dale Bougennec for the Senior's top honor.

Scott Carelli
Scott Carelli, Net Player of the Year: Carelli, of San Francisco, won the net division at the Silicon Valley Amateur presented by CHAMP Spikes and was tied for fourth at the Diablo Valley Amateur. This is Carelli's first Player of the Year award and it comes on the heels of a solid 2011 that saw a win at the Diablo Valley Am and a tie for second at the California Mid-Am.
