Palma de Mallorca, Spain (Nov. 12, 2012) – Dedicated to providing high-quality golf offerings throughout its resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts is proud to serve as the hotel partner of the 7th Annual Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am “Annie’s Revenge,” presented by NIKE GOLF and the Jamaica Tourism Board, Nov. 14-18, 2012. As the event’s host hotel, tournament participants will enjoy a five-day, all-inclusive experience at the luxurious, adults-only IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica with the option to extend their trips pre- or post-tournament. “IBEROSTAR is very focused on expanding and elevating the golf experience for our guests at our Mexico and Caribbean resorts,” said John Long, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the brand. “Annie’s Revenge is the perfect opportunity for us to show influential pros and skilled amateurs first-hand how incredible an all-inclusive IBEROSTAR luxury golf getaway in Jamaica can be. “The Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am is one of the premiere golf events in the Caribbean,” remarked John Lynch, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “We have developed a mutually beneficial partnership with IBEROSTAR because the brand provides the golfers and guests an unsurpassed experience and first-class taste of all of the things Jamaica has to offer as a destination.” Named “Annie’s Revenge” after the legendary White Witch of Rose Hall, Annie Palmer, the tournament will be played at Cinnamon Hill and White Witch Golf Courses in Montego Bay, which are conveniently located near IBEROSTAR. Quickly becoming one of golf's most popular winter Pro-Am tournaments, teams of four players, comprised of a PGA club professional and three amateur golfers, will compete at both courses and vie for the Jamaica Pro-Am Championship trophy and a wide array of prizes. Golf professionals will compete for a $30,000 USD Pro Purse, while the amateurs battle for team and on-course prizes such as return stays in Jamaica, American Airlines tickets and NIKE GOLF products valued at more than $15,000 USD. Regardless of how they do on the links, all participants will receive NIKE GOLF gift bags, complete with apparel, shoes, balls and more – valued at more than $500 USD. Tournament entry packages, including accommodations at IBEROSTAR, are priced at $2,875 USD for an amateur player (single occupancy) and an additional $1,450 USD per person for a non-golfing guest. These packages provide an all-inclusive experience at the hotel, including food, premium liquor, four rounds of golf for players and daily activities for non-playing guests. The hotel is also offering a “Pre/Post” travel package valid for stays just before or after the tournament for guests to extend their stay. Rates are $265 USD per night (single occupancy) for a tournament player or $395 USD (double occupancy) for a player and a guest. As the leading Spanish all-inclusive hospitality brand, IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts proudly features several award-winning golf courses at their properties in Mexico and the Caribbean: IBEROSTAR Cancún Golf Club in Cancún, Mexico, the IBEROSTAR Playa Paraíso Golf Club in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and the IBEROSTAR Bávaro Golf Club in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. To book an “Annie’s Revenge” tournament entry package, golfers are asked to fill out an online form located on the tournament’s website: http://www.jamaicaproam.com. Pre/Post tournament stays will be booked by the “Annie’s Revenge” Tournament Office, with charges for the pre/post stay issued at check-in.
