Dave Szewczul won the 67th Connecticut Senior Championship with a 36 hole four over par total of 146 at the Golf Club of Avon today
AVON, Conn. (Sept. 25, 2012) -- Dave Szewczul, Tunxis Plantation Country Club, won the 67th Connecticut Senior Amateur Championship with a 36 hole four over par total of 146 at the Golf Club of Avon today. Second place went to David Blovish, Ellington Ridge Country Club, with a seven over 149 and in third place was Tom Scarrozzo, Blue Fox Run Golf Club, with an eight over 150.
Szewczul, who last year won the New England Senior Amateur, Connecticut Senior Amateur, and Connecticut Public Links in three consecutive weeks and the Connecticut Senior Match Play Chmpionship earlier this season, is assured of his fourth straight Senior Player of the Year title. He is off the U.S. Senior Amateur Sept. 29-Oct. 4 at Mountain Ridge CC in West Caldwell, N.J.

36-hole stroke play championship open to bona fide members of a CSGA club who are fifty-five years of age and over by the start of the tournament.
