Tom Miler outlasted Ted Zurkowski (73-75-77--225) by one shot

FRANKFORT, Ill. (Sept. 19, 2012) -- Tom Miler went 73-75-76--224 to win the 26th Illinois State Senior Amateur Championship Wednesdy at Prestwick Country Club. Miler outlasted Ted Zurkowski (73-75-77--225) by one shot. Ed Whitaker (73-76-77--226) and first-round leader Ken Larney (70-79-77--226) tied for third place.

About the Illinois Senior Amateur

Open to senior amateurs who are residents of the state of Illinois. A 54-hole event with the entire field playing 36 holes over the course of two days and the low 30 and ties play the final 18 on the third day.
