Kemp/Samp win Arizona Four-Ball in playoff

Carson Kemp and Michael Samp knocked off Christopher Petefish and Tyler Kertson in a 3-hole playoff for the title
BUCKEYE, Ariz. (Sept. 16, 2012) -- Carson Kemp and Michael Samp started the weekend at the Raven at South Mountain with a better-ball score of 65. That put them in a 3-way tie with the teams of Josh Porter and Johnny Marusiak and Christopher Petefish and Tyler Kertson. At the end of 36 holes, the team of Kemp and Samp found themselves tied with Porter and Marusiak at 133.
It took three holes to determine the winner which included a chip-in birdie and an 8-foot saving putt for birdie on hole #10. The teams tied the 11th with pars. The playoff concluded with another chip-in on hole #12 - this time for eagle.
About the Arizona Four-Ball

Both participants must hold an active membership with an AGA Member Club. 36 holes of Four-Ball stroke play.
