Rick Cloninger bested a loaded field by two shots at historic Pinehurst No. 2

PINEHURST, N.C. (Aug. 23, 2012) -- Rick Cloninger maintained his lead after the second round and fired a 1-over 73 in the final round of play to win the 2012 North & South Senior at Pinehurst No. 2. Cloninger led the loaded field by one shot following Wednesday's second round and finished the prestigious event two shots ahead of John Sajevic, the second-place finisher. David Pulk, four-time winner and defending champion Paul Simson, Daniel Cook and Frank Acker were all tied for third place at 1-over for the event, which enjoyed its 61st playing.
