Ellen Port birdies the final hole then prevails in a playoff with Catherine Dolan to capture her eighth Missouri Women's Amateur title

OLATHE, Mo. (July 13, 2012) -- Ellen Port birdied the 18th all three days, the final one getting her into a playoff for a chance to win her eighth Missouri Women's Amateur title. Catherine Dolan, Port's closest competitor had the tournament nearly won, but a double bogey on No. 17 brought her even with Port. Dolan also made birdie on the last hole, but was unable to take down Port, losing on the second hole of sudden death.

About the Missouri Women's Amateur

This is a 54-hole stroke play competition. Entries are open to female amateur golfers who play at clubs or courses who are members of the Missouri Golf Association. Must have a current USGA Handicap Index from an authorized USGA club.
