Seth Sweet sours in the final round but hangs on for two stroke win at the Maine Amateur

NEWRY, ME (July 12, 2012) -- Seth Sweet had a commanding six stroke lead going into the final round of the Maine Amateur at the Sunday River Golf Club. All he could manage on the final day was a final round 79, but that was good enough for the victory with a final score of 3-over-par, 219. JJ Harris and Ricky Jones shared second place at 5-over, 221.

About the Maine Amateur Golf Championship

The Maine Amateur Championship is a 54-hole stroke play event. After the first two rounds, the field of 132 players is cut to the top 40 and ties who advance to the final round. Players must be members in good standing of an MSGA member club.
