UC Irvine senior Lalita Patipaksiri wins the title with a 3-under-par 144

LONG BEACH, Calif (June 22, 2012) -- It was a wire-to-wire victory for Lalita Patipaksiri of Cypress, CA at the Long Beach Women's City Championship. Patipaksiri opened with a 3-under par 69 at the Recreation Park Golf Course and lead by three strokes over a handfull of players who shot even par 72. The second round Patipaksiri shot even par 72 at the El Dorado Park GC securing the title. Hilary Packard of Thousand Oaks, CA made a late charge with a final round 69, but combined with her first round 74 finished two strokes back at 143, good enough for second place. Rochelle Chan of Carson, CA finished up at 144 (72-72) tied for third with Simone Hoey of Rancho Cucamonga, CA 144 (73-71.)
