Wolfpack Intercollegiate: Lamar leads
Raleigh, N.C. (April 14, 2012) -- NC State Sophomore James Chapman is tied for the lead, and the Wolfpack is tied for second after the opening round at the Wolfpack Spring Open on the par-72, 7,358-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course on Saturday.
The Wolfpack is tied with East Carolina with a 6-over 294, and is two shots behind Lamar, who leads the 17-team tournament.

The sophomore, who is playing as an individual, is tied with Luke Jerling of Lamar and Jay Mulieri of Loyola (Md.).
The top two scorers for NC State finished in the top 10. Senior Graham Baillargeon, is tied for fourth, led the Wolfpack team with an even-par 72, and is one shot off the lead. Senior Mark McMillen finished tied for eighth with a 1-over 73.
Junior Mitchell Sutton finished in 16th place with a 2-over 74, while sophomore Albin Choi shot a 3-over 75 and senior Chad Day finished 5-over 77.
