Patel had a stellar year in 2011 and his successes haven't stopped in the new year
Bhavik Patel had a stellar year in 2011, winning the California State Amateur, coming in 5th at the SCGA Amateur Championship and then winning the SCGA Four-Ball Championship with his partner, Manav Shah.
His successes haven't stopped in the new year, however, as the amateur qualified Monday for this week's TPC Stonebrae Championship, an event part of the Nationwide Tour.
The tournament, which will take place at TPC Stonebrae in Hayward, Calif., runs this Thursday through Sunday. Patel will tee off Thursday at 9 a.m. For more about the event, click here.
This June, Patel, a Fresno State senior, has confirmed his attendance at La Cumbre CC in Santa Barbara, where he will try and defend his State Amateur Championship title.
