Patrick Brady and Scott Harvey capture the Mid-Pines Invitational on the fourth hole of sudden death
After carding rounds of 67-70--137 it was off to extra holes with Mark Cusic and partner Kevin Ferris (64-73--134) and Pete Seagroves with partner Jeremy Elliot (69-68--134). Seagroves and Elliot were eliminated on the third hole while Brady and Harvey captured the win on the fourth hole with a birdie.
In the Senior Division Harold Payne and John Duty fired 67-67--134 to edge out Gary Strickfadden and Kim Mansfield (66-68--135).
About the Mid Pines Invitational
Of the seven Donald Ross courses in the Sandhills area, this is the only one with the original routing left in place. A fun 36 hole team event played on a wonderful 6500 yard golf course. Open Division, Senior Division (both players must be 50+).
