Pete Wlodkowski of amateurgolf.com catches up with Big Break Ireland Winner Mark Murphy
The Big Break has become one of the most popular shows on The Golf Channel. With good reason. The show, which combines both traditional and off-the-wall tests of golf skill (breaking a glass panel being the most famous) has provided a close look at the personalities behind the struggle to get to golf's highest level.
None of the recent winners showed more passion than Big Break Ireland winner Mark Murphy. "Murph" wore his emotions on his sleeve -- and became a fan favorite -- on his way to the title, which came with a sponsor contract, $50,000 in cash, and two important tournament exemptions.
We caught up with him at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show in Florida. Click the picture on the right to view the interview.
