Shingler recorded 70-67--137 while Patrick notched 68-76--144.
In third place was Steve Douglass with 73-73--146. In the logjam tie for fourth at 147 were 2007 Virginia Mid-Am champion Dan Hosek (74-73), Billy Mellon (74-73), 2010 Maryland APL champion Jeff Lim-Sharpe (69-78), 2009 and 2010 Maryland Senior Open champion John Howson (72-75), 2010 Metro Mid-Am champion Chris Baloga (74-73), Tracy Vallandingham (72-75) and Brent Davis (79-68).

Shingler's second round surge was reminiscent of his first Metro Mid-Am win at Musket Ridge in 2008, where he closed with a 68 that gave him a four-stroke win over runner-up Vance Welch. Shingler is also the current Virginia State Mid-Am champion as well as a recent VSGA Player-of-the-Year and USGA State Team Member from Virginia.
