Paul Simson sleeps on a four shot lead at the North Carolina Senior Amateur. A win tomorrow will make it three in a row for the Raleigh native.
RALEIGH, NC (May 18, 2011) -- Second round results of the 26th North Carolina Senior Amateur Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by North Ridge Country Club (Lakes course) in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 (6451 yards, par 36-36—72, 71.3/132).
Defending champion and championship favorite, Paul Simson of Raleigh, NC posted a four-under par 68 to extend his lead to four strokes over Logan Jackson of Winston-Salem, NC. Simson, who is a member at North Ridge Country Club, carded five birdies, one eagle and three bogeys in his round.
The cut line fell at 155 with 66 players advancing to Thursday’s final round.
