John Wright followed up his first-round 73 with a 1-under 71 in Tuesday's final round

CARY, IL (May 3, 2011) -- John Wright followed up his first-round 73 with a 1-under 71 in Tuesday's final round to claim the 20th Illinois State Public Links Championship at Foxford Hills Golf Club. Wright, of Aurora, trailed Dave Ryan of Taylorville and Nick Robles of Crystal Lake following Monday's opening round as the two leaders fired even-par 72s. The door was open in Tuesday's final round, though, when Ryan and Robles struggled, finishing in a tie for second place and fifth place, respectively. Chadd Slutzky of Palatine and Thomas O'bryan of Aurora tied Ryan for second place.
