SALINAS, CA (March 21, 2011) -- Ricky Stockton defeated Jerry Ledzinski to win the Salinas City Championship at Salinas Fairways Golf Course. The final was postponed from Sunday March 20 to Monday, March 21 due to rough weather that plagued the Monterey Peninsula all weekend.

They were able to get in the semi-finals on Saturday -- despite the rain -- where Ledzinski defeated Matt Pinizzotto 5 and 4 while Ricky Stockton took down Al Conceicao 4 and 3.

In the Senior Division Jim Knoll (shown in photo at right) defeated Neil Duffy 4 and 3 for the championship. Both semi-final matches were tight however as Knoll got by Jay Guerin 2 and 1 and Duffy held on to beat Mark Miller 1 up.

The weather was so tough for the qualifying rounds that it was reduced to just nine holes.
