Greg Eckels needed to rally and needed some help to have a chance at the Tampa City Amateur
TAMPA BAY, FL (Nov. 1, 2010) -- Greg Eckels needed to rally and needed some help to have a chance at the Tampa City Amateur at Rogers Park Golf Course this weekend. He got both. The rally came with an even-par 71 that was the low round of the day by three shots. The help came when first round leader David Herzfeld carded a 77 that led to Eckles victory by a single stroke.
Bill Moore took solo third in the Men's division and also recorded a win in the Senior division with scores of 73-76--149. Jerry Coren took second place at 77-75-152 and Max Castro had third at 79-74-153.
In the Ladies division Debbie Mooksang dominated with a 13 stroke victory (74-75--149). Janice Roberts Wilson placed second with scores of 78-84-162 and Beck Miles and Mary Lou Edwards shared third with scores of 82-82-164.
