In Austin, Nunez wins Bluebonnet Cup
AUSTIN, Texas (Aug. 29, 2010) -- Larry Nunez shot a final-round 3-under par 69 Sunday at Bluebonnet Hill Golf Course to take a two-shot victory in the Bluebonnet Cup.
Nunez's 69 was the low round Sunday and gave him a winning 54-hole total of 8-under 208. Kody King shot 71 to take second place at 210.
Chris Hartenstein, who led after the first and second rounds, closed with a 76 to tie for third at 211 with Brenden Redfern. Rob Ormand and Marshall Hinton tied for fifth at 213.
Nunez and Redfern were tied for the lead at 7-under par going into the par-3 17th, which requires a long carry over water.
