Estanislao Guerrero from Tijuana, Mexico is the Southwestern Amateur Champion, firing a final-round 65 to come from 2 shots back and winning by 2
"Winning in San Diego was special being close to home, but unfortunately my family didn't get to see it with Mexico in the World Cup" said Guerrero. "Birdies on 5 and 6 got my round started. I played steady for the middle of the round then birdied 15 from 3 feet, 16 from 30 feet and just missing an eagle on 17. Didn't have any bogeys. I grew up playing around here so that probably was an advantage."
