Sean Thayer defeats Nate Sargent on the third playoff hole to become the 2009 High Plains Amateur Champion. This marks the fourth time Sean has one this prestigious title.

GARDEN CITY, KS (August 30, 2009)--Sean Thayer of Garden City, KS defeated Nate Sargent of Overland Park, KS on the third playoff hole to become the 2009 High Plains Amateur Champion. This marks the fourth time Sean has one this prestigious title.
