TUCSON, Arizona (May 3, 2009) -- David McDaniel had a double-digit lead going into the final round, and he did nothing to give it away on Sunday at Tucson's Dell Urich Golf Course.
McDaniel fired a 7-under 63 and won by 12 strokes over Takuya Fuji.
Dell Urich G.C., formerly known as Randolph South, opened for play in 1996. It was used for the 2nd and final rounds of this championship. The other courses used were Fred Enke (par 72, round 1); and Randolph (par 72, round 3, and the longest of the courses at 7000 yards).
About the Tucson City Amateur

54-hole flighted stroke play championship played at three courses. Flights will be determined by handicap. Open (men and women) and senior (men and women, age 50+) divisions. Must have valid USGA handicap.
