McIlroy’s victory at Augusta National gave Fujikura its fifth straight Major win, with the Champion gaming VENTUS.
Rory McIlroy added another chapter to his Augusta legacy on Sunday, winning the Masters and giving Fujikura a fifth consecutive victory in men’s golf’s biggest championships.
McIlroy closed in style at Augusta National, using a steady, powerful long game to separate himself on a demanding final day and secure another Green Jacket. For Fujikura, it marked another statement performance on the sport’s grandest stage, continuing a remarkable run that began with all four Major winners last season.
At a course where driving precision and control are always at a premium, McIlroy trusted Fujikura’s flagship VENTUS lineup throughout the top end of the bag. His setup featured a VENTUS Black 6-X in the driver, a VENTUS Black 8-X in the 3-wood, and a VENTUS Black 9-X in the 5-wood.
McIlroy’s win was another example of the consistency Fujikura has become known for under the highest pressure. As the final round tightened and Augusta demanded shot-making from every corner of the property, the champion’s long game remained a reliable weapon.
Fujikura Director of Marketing Eric Recher said the latest Major victory speaks to the technology behind the company’s driver and wood shafts, and to the trust the best players in the world continue to place in VENTUS when the pressure is at its highest. He noted that while Augusta is often defined by what happens on and around the greens, there is still no substitute for finding fairways, making this latest Masters victory especially meaningful for the brand.
That message was reinforced across the field all week. Fujikura finished the tournament as the No. 1 driver, wood, and hybrid shaft, underscoring its continued presence at the highest level of the game. Nearly 39.6 percent of the field used Fujikura driver shafts, while 41.2 percent played the brand in their fairway woods and 62.5 percent relied on Fujikura shafts in hybrids.
Fujikura first broke through with a Major win in 2001, and over the last six years has become the most-used driver shaft on professional tours. With victories stacking up around the world and another Masters champion trusting VENTUS in Augusta, the brand’s momentum in the game’s biggest events continues to build.
With McIlroy once again slipping on the Green Jacket, Fujikura’s run in the biggest tournaments in the sport is no longer just a trend. It’s a streak — and one that continues to be powered by VENTUS.
