Razorbacks win by 12 shots as Alvaro Pastor claims individual title and John Daly II adds another strong finish
No. 4 Arkansas controlled the week at the All-American Intercollegiate, closing at 18-over 882 (298-299-285) for a 12-shot victory at the Golf Club of Houston.
It marked the Razorbacks’ third team title of the season, their most since the 2011-12 campaign, and continued a run of consistency with top-four finishes in all seven starts. Earlier wins came at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in September and the Watersound Invitational in February.
Eastern Michigan finished runner-up at 30-over (302-297-295), with Tarleton State third at 35-over (305-296-298). Abilene Christian took fourth at 42-over, while defending champions Houston finished fifth at 49-over.
In the individual race, Tarleton State redshirt senior Alvaro Pastor stood apart. He posted 77-66-71 to finish at 2-under 214, the only player under par, and secured a five-shot victory. The win was his second of the season, following the Golden Nugget Invitational, making him the first player in program history to win back-to-back events.
Arkansas was led by sophomore Erich Fortlage, who surged into runner-up at 3-over 219 (72-80-67). His closing 67, a 13-shot improvement from round two, lifted him 11 spots on the leaderboard.
The Razorbacks placed four players inside the top 15.
John Daly II finished T-4 at 5-over 221 (78-72-71), continuing a strong stretch that included a T-37 finish on the PGA Tour at the Puerto Rico Open on a sponsor exemption.
Thomas Curry was T-6 at 6-over 222 (77-72-73), while Gerardo Gomez finished T-11 at 8-over 224 (75-75-74).
