Titleist is adding a limited-edition Oil Can finish to its T-Series irons, bringing a new look to one of the most established iron families in the game.
The finish gives the clubs a rich copper appearance and is applied through a PVD treatment designed to improve durability while also reducing glare. It is the first time the Oil Can look has been offered across the T-Series iron lineup, and it extends to T100, T150, T250 and T350 models.
For players, this is less about changing the performance profile of the iron itself and more about giving the current T-Series lineup a different visual package. The stock builds also include copper-colored Titleist Golf Pride Z-Grip Full Cord grips and True Temper Onyx shafts to match the finish.
A special-edition look across the full lineup
Limited-Edition Oil Can T-Series Irons One of the more useful details in the release is that the finish is consistent from model to model. That matters for golfers who mix irons within the same set, which has become increasingly common among better players and serious amateurs.
Titleist says blended sets can be custom ordered, allowing golfers to combine models based on launch, forgiveness and distance needs without disrupting the visual flow of the set. The Oil Can finish will be available in both right-hand and left-hand builds.
Where each model fits
T100
T100 remains the most compact option in the group and is aimed at golfers who prioritize precision, feel and shot control. It is the model most closely associated with a traditional tour iron profile.
T150
T150 is designed for players who want much of the same look and feel as T100, but with a little more speed and launch. It sits in the middle ground between a compact players iron and something slightly more forgiving.
T250
T250 is the players-distance option in the lineup. It is built for golfers who want more ball speed and help on off-center strikes, while still keeping a shape that stays relatively clean at address.
T350
T350 is the most forgiving iron in the family, built for players who want higher launch, more speed and more help across the face. For many amateurs, it is the most playable option of the four.
Why the blended-set piece matters
One of the more relevant points for competitive amateurs is Titleist’s emphasis on blended sets. According to the release, roughly 80 percent of Titleist Brand Ambassadors playing T-Series irons on the PGA TOUR use at least two different models in the same set.
The idea is straightforward: use more forgiving or faster options in the longer irons, then transition into more precise scoring irons farther down the bag. Titleist says its fitters typically look for three things when building those combinations: proper ball-speed gaps between clubs, consistent peak height, and enough descent angle for long irons to still hold greens.
That part of the release is probably more meaningful than the finish itself. The Oil Can treatment may be what catches the eye, but the bigger point for many amateurs is that Titleist continues to build the T-Series family around mix-and-match fitting.
Availability and custom options
T-Series Oil Can irons are available for pre-sale now and are scheduled to arrive in golf shops worldwide on Thursday, March 26.
The finish is offered on T100, T150, T250 and T350, with custom ordering available for blended sets as well as loft, lie and length adjustments. Titleist’s full offering of shafts and grips also remains available through custom order.
