Lisle edges the boys field at 4 under while Jia claims the girls title with a composed even-par finish at TPC Myrtle Beach
Hong Kong native William Lisle captured the boys' title at the Dustin Johnson World Junior with a 4-under 212 total after rounds of 71-70-71, securing a one-shot victory at TPC Myrtle Beach.
The IMG Academy standout, who has verbally committed to the University of Texas, entered the final round with the 36-hole lead and held on with steady play despite a difficult stretch on the back nine. Midway through the round he slipped to three over for the day before producing the key moment of the tournament — an eagle on a par five after hitting his approach to just a few feet. The momentum shift helped him regain control before a crucial long putt on the 16th hole steadied his closing stretch and allowed him to seal the win.
Chase Bauer finished runner-up at 3-under 213 after carding the low round of the day, a 69, while Theodore Snyder placed third at 1-under 215.
Lisle’s victory continues a strong run in junior golf. In 2025, he played 14 ranked events, winning the Sunshine State Amateur and the FSGA Junior Boys Championship (13–15 division). He also finished runner-up at the Florida Junior Amateur and advanced to the Round of 64 at the U.S. Junior Amateur. Last month, he added a T-9 finish at the AJGA Simplify Boys Championship.
In the girls division, Fay Jia delivered a composed performance to win the championship at even-par 216 (71-74-71) and secure a four-shot victory.
Jia began the final round chasing the lead but stayed steady throughout the day to pull clear of the field. Eileen Park, Macie Rasmussen, and Michelle Xing tied for second at 4-over 220.
Currently No. 55 in the AJGA rankings, Jia played nine ranked events in 2025 and won the SERI Pak Desert Junior Championship. She followed that victory with a runner-up finish at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship, finishing one shot behind Amelie Zelsman, and added four additional top-10 finishes during the season.
Played on the Tom Fazio-designed TPC Myrtle Beach, the championship again provided a demanding test with strategic bunkering, water hazards, and steady coastal winds challenging the international field. Lisle and Jia ultimately rose above the competition to claim titles at one of junior golf’s premier events.
