Jessica and Sarah Spicer edged Ina Kim-Schaad and Kelsey Chugg in a playoff for the title
Jessica and Sarah Spicer claimed the Championship Division title at the 79th Women’s International Four-Ball, prevailing in a playoff after a late push forced extra holes at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club.
The Spicer sisters began the final round one shot behind Ina Kim-Schaad and Kelsey Chugg but drew level with a birdie on the par-4 16th. Neither team broke through over the closing holes in strengthening wind, sending the championship to a playoff, where the sisters converted to secure the win.
The victory was the payoff after years of near misses at the event. The Spicers have now competed four times at the Women’s International Four-Ball and have never finished outside the top three.
Kim-Schaad and Chugg settled for second after holding the outright lead through much of the final round. Sarah Matin and Kaitlyn Durrance finished third following a steady two-day performance.
The playoff loss kept Kim-Schaad from adding a fourth Women’s International Four-Ball title. A three-time champion at the event — she won in 2025, 2023 and 2022 alongside Meghan Stasi — Kim-Schaad teamed with Kelsey Chugg this week and came up just short. She arrived in form, too, after being named the 2025 FSGA Women’s Amateur Player of the Year last week.
In the Middle Division, Corey Weworski and Susan West completed a closing-round charge to win by three shots. After opening with an even-par 72, the pair fired a bogey-free 5-under 67 to climb from fifth to first.
Weworski and West posted five birdies and finished clear of overnight leaders Wendi Christensen and Mary Jane Hiestand, who tied for second alongside two other teams. The win marked Weworski and West’s second straight Middle Division title at the championship.
