Prototype-inspired Squareback 2 and Fastback 2 models blend tour craftsmanship with new SCS face inserts and custom graphite shaft
All-new prototype-inspired Squareback 2 and Fastback 2 models feature Steel Gray finish, SCS face inserts, and custom graphite shafts
CARLSBAD, Calif. (October 28, 2025) – Scotty Cameron’s latest creation, the Studio Xperimental Limited line, brings a tour-proven edge to two refined mid-mallets: the Squareback 2 and Fastback 2. Inspired by prototype shapes from Cameron’s tour stable, both models feature a Steel Gray PVD finish, a black nickel-plated Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) face insert, and a custom graphite shaft designed to enhance balance and feel.
For golfers who love the precision of a tour setup but want something rare and performance-minded, Studio Xperimental delivers that blend of artistry and engineering. Signature cherry red translucent dots, parallel sight lines, and the 3 Point Crown add visual confidence with functional intent.
Built from the Tour Up
“Studio Xperimental is about sharing something special: prototype-inspired setups crafted for those who demand performance and technology with a clean, tour-proven look.”
“With the line’s multi-material design, chain-link face milling, unique alignment features, and custom grip and shaft, every element of Studio Xperimental is designed to inspire confidence – from setup to stroke.”
— Scotty Cameron, Founder & Master Craftsman
“The combination of our SCS face inserts with chain-link face milling really delivers exceptional feel, roll performance, and feedback off the putter face.”
“For this release, we also optimized the putters’ balance with custom graphite shafts that are stiffer and slightly counterbalanced to give players added stability through the stroke.”
— Austie Rollinson, Senior Director of Putter R&D
