Four new models join the old favorites such as the Crossline
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2009) -- amateurgolf.com sponsor Lamkin Grips, the grip of choice of two of the world’s top-3 golfers according to the Official World Golf Rankings, unveiled four new grips for the 2009 season.
Joining such well-known and respected models such as the Crossline (the world’s top-selling grip) Lamkin has added the Ladies’ Crossline and a trio of other models.
Performance Plus: The Performance Plus grips were developed with the competitive golfer in mind. The redesigned dimensions of the upper and lower hands, along with the unique surface pattern, provide a unified, tension free grip resulting in higher swing speeds.
Crossline Tour: Developed on the PGA Tours, the Crossline Tour grip features a refined surface pattern and a softer rubber compound to deliver the enhanced feel that Tour players are looking for today. Also available in two new color compounds and a full cord model with a less abrasive feel.
Comfort Wrap: Introducing an advanced application of polyurethane for maximum durability, the entirely seamless outer layer prevents moisture from penetrating the Comfort Wrap grip while the innovative contoured underlisting provides increased stability.
About Lamkin Grips
When the Lamkin family went into business in 1925, it was for two basic reasons. The first reason was love. The love that any purist has for the game and spirit of golf. The second reason was obsession. A driving obsession to make nothing less than the finest golf grips in the world.
Every product - from the original Lamkin Leather wraps to the Perma-Wrap Classic, the renowned Crossline, and now the Dual Density Torsion Control - features the technical innovation and exacting performance standards that are the hallmarks of Lamkin. That's why Lamkin has been the chosen grip supplier for nearly every major club manufacturer, and the preferred grip of professional golfers worldwide.
Today, this is still a Lamkin family business. And as long as that name is on the door, we'll have the same reasons for doing what we do.
