Charlie Woods fired a final-round 66 to win the 2025 Team TaylorMade Invitational at Streamsong, earning his first AJGA title
BOWLING GREEN, FL (May 28, 2025) – In a performance that balanced firepower and control, Charlie Woods (Jupiter, Fla., 2027) captured his first AJGA title at the 2025 Team TaylorMade Invitational, closing with a final-round 66 to win by three shots at 15-under-par.
The 16-year-old, son of golf legend Tiger Woods, handled the pressure of a star-studded field and a stacked leaderboard with poise, finishing with rounds of 70-65-66 (201 total) at Streamsong Resort’s Black Course. Woods made 25 birdies and an eagle over 54 holes, just one shot shy of the tournament scoring record.
Woods began the day in a four-way tie for second, one shot behind Luke Colton. After a bogey on the 2nd hole, he caught fire with birdies on 3, 4, 6, and 7. His back nine featured more clutch play with birdies at 11, 13, and 15 before closing with steady pars to post a final-round 66.
It was enough to hold off surging charges from Willie Gordon (-12), Phillip Dunham (-12), and Luke Colton (-12), all of whom finished tied for second. Tyler Watts (-11) and Jessy Huebner (-10) rounded out the top six in one of the strongest AJGA fields of the year.
Woods’ performance was not only a statement win but also a massive ranking leap and a breakout moment against the nation’s best juniors, including multiple U.S. National Junior Team members and the AJGA’s top-ranked players.
Charlie’s final birdie on hole 15 gave him the cushion he needed, and after a pair of stress-free closing pars, the gallery erupted. The son of a legend had carved out his own moment, proving that his game—not just his name—belongs at the top of the leaderboard.
One of the AJGA’s premier all-boys invitationals, the Team TaylorMade Invitational features 72 top-ranked junior players in 54 holes of stroke play at Streamsong Resort – Black Course.
