Join 3,000+ golfers in Myrtle Beach this August for the world’s largest and most competitive amateur golf tournament
Inside the World Am — The Ultimate Amateur Golf Experience
August 25–29, 2025 | Myrtle Beach, SC | 3,000+ Golfers | 50+ Courses
At AmateurGolf.com, we cover thousands of tournaments a year — but very few create the kind of buzz, memories, and community as the Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship.
This is the largest and most inclusive amateur golf tournament in the world. Over 3,000 golfers from across the globe descend on Myrtle Beach each August to compete across four rounds on some of the most iconic courses in the country. Including Caledonia. TPC Myrtle Beach. Barefoot Resort. Tidewater. All in one week.
Players are flighted by age, gender, and tightly calibrated handicaps — so everyone has a chance. It’s a true test of game and grit, with a World Championship round on Friday for flight winners. And if you’re not in it to win it? You can still join the Just For Fun division and enjoy world-class golf without the pressure.
Once the rounds end, the night begins. The 19th Hole is a golf party like no other — live entertainment, open bars, chef-prepared food, golf vendors, giveaways, contests, and plenty of storytelling. It’s where friendships are made and stories become legend.
Register before May 3rd and you’ll be entered into the exclusive prize drawings — over $25,000 in giveaways just for early registrants. With net and gross prizes, flight payouts, and over 60 tightly contested brackets, there are hundreds of ways to win.
