The social media star was able to hold off the No. 1 ranked player in the world thanks to his Callaway equipment
Press Release provided by Callaway Golf
Callaway staffer Min Woo Lee held off Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland to earn his first career PGA TOUR win. Lee made a key tweak this week, moving from a 9° head to an 8.5° in his Elyte Triple Diamond, and the move paid off for him.
Here's a look at the Callaway and Odyssey equipment in Min Woo's bag:
Elyte Triple Diamond Driver (8.5°) - Fuji Ventus Blue 6X Shaft
Elyte Triple Diamond (16.5°) - Fuji Ventus Blue 9X Shaft
X Forged UT (3-iron) - True Temper AMT Tour White Shaft
X-Forged Irons (4-5) - Nippon Modus 125X Shafts
Forged Prototype Irons (6-PW) - Nippon Modus 125X Shafts
Opus Wedge (50°) - Nippon NS Pro Modus 3 Tour 120 Shaft
Odyssey O-Works No. 1 Wide Putter
Chrome Tour X Ball
Lee averaged over 315 yards per drive this week after working with his coach on the lower lofted 8.5° driver last week. His new gamer head helps keep spin down while also increasing launch through "shallowing out" the setup.
He also had an outstanding week on the greens, ranking second in the field in Putts Per GIR, first in Strokes Gained: Putting, and first in Birdies made.
Lee uses a Chrome Tour X Golf Ball with his "Let Him Cook" chef logo. Chrome Tour X is engineered for the best players who want outstanding distance, workability, and spin so they can experience their best performance from tee to green.
Odyssey is once again the No. 1 Putter across every Tour this week. Callaway is the No. 1 Putter Brand in play this week on the PGA TOUR, LPGA, Champions, and DP World Tour. This success continues to be led by the popularity of the Ai-ONE family (21 total in play this week on the PGA TOUR) and proven head shapes like our Jailbird models.
